DMCA & Copyright Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
In short
- We respect the rights of creators, artists and copyright owners.
- We don't host or store TikTok videos or sounds. The converter only fetches audio for a link a user submits, and the file is deleted from our server once it is delivered.
- If you own a copyright and believe our Service is being used to infringe it, send us a notice and we will review it promptly.
1.Our commitment
GetTikMp3 (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects intellectual property rights and expects users of gettikmp3.com (the “Website”) and our TikTok to MP3 converter (the “Service”) to do the same. We respond to copyright notices in line with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws in other countries.
Our Terms of Use make clear that the Service is meant for personal use and that users are responsible for having the right to use any audio they download.
2.How the Service works
Understanding how the Service works helps explain what we can and cannot do with a copyright notice:
- We do not host, upload or publish any TikTok videos or sounds, and we do not offer a searchable library of audio files.
- The Service only retrieves the audio for a specific public TikTok link that a user pastes in, at that user's request.
- The audio file is passed to the user's browser and deleted from our server right away. Temporary lookup data expires after about 30 minutes.
- The original content stays on TikTok's platform, where it was uploaded.
3.How to send a copyright notice
If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act for one, and you believe the Service is being used to infringe your work, please send a written notice that includes all of the following:
- Your signature. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or of a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- The copyrighted work. A description of the work you believe is being infringed, such as the song title, artist and record label.
- The TikTok link(s). The full URL of each TikTok video whose audio you want us to act on, so we can identify it precisely.
- Your contact details. Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
- A good-faith statement. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- An accuracy statement. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Notices that are missing any of these details may take longer to process, or we may ask you for more information.
4.Where to send it
Please email your notice to us with the subject line “DMCA Notice”:
Copyright notices
hello@gettikmp3.com5.What happens next
When we receive a complete notice, we will:
- confirm that we received it, usually within a few business days;
- review the notice and the links it identifies;
- take reasonable steps in response, which may include preventing the reported TikTok links from being processed by the Service;
- let you know what action we have taken.
Because we do not store the content, we cannot remove it from TikTok. To have the original video or sound taken down, please also report it to TikTok (see Section 9).
6.Counter-notices
If you believe action was taken in error, for example because you own the content or have permission to use it, you may send us a counter-notice at the same email address. It should include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the TikTok link(s) affected;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the action was taken by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We may share your counter-notice with the person who sent the original notice.
7.Repeated misuse
Where appropriate, we may limit or block access to the Service for users or networks that repeatedly use it to infringe copyright.
8.False or misleading claims
Please make sure your notice is accurate before you send it.
Important: Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, anyone who knowingly makes a materially false claim that content is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees. If you are not sure whether something infringes your rights, you may wish to speak to a lawyer first.
9.Reporting content to TikTok
GetTikMp3 is not affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance Ltd. The videos and sounds themselves are hosted on TikTok, so the most effective way to have infringing content removed at its source is to use TikTok's own copyright reporting tools, which are available through TikTok's legal and support pages.
