In short
- You don't need an account. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number to use the converter.
- We only process the TikTok link you paste, so we can fetch the audio for you.
- We don't keep your audio files. Each file is passed to your browser and then deleted from our server.
- We don't sell your personal information.
1.Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how GetTikMp3 (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you visit gettikmp3.com (the “Website”) and use our TikTok to MP3 converter (the “Service”).
GetTikMp3 is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to TikTok or ByteDance Ltd. TikTok's own privacy policy applies to your use of the TikTok app and website.
2.Information we process
We keep the information we handle to the minimum needed to run the converter.
Information you give us
- TikTok video links. When you paste a link and press the convert button, the link is sent to our server so we can find the audio for that video.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
Information collected automatically
- IP address. We use your IP address to limit how many conversions can be requested in a short period, which protects the Service from abuse. For this purpose we store a one-way hashed version of the IP address together with a request count.
- Technical server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical details such as IP address, browser type, device type, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are used for security and to keep the Website running.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for or collect your name, phone number, address, payment details or TikTok login details. You never need to sign in to TikTok or create an account with us to use the Service.
3.How the converter handles your data
Here is what happens, step by step, when you convert a TikTok video to MP3:
- Paste button. If you use the “Paste” button, your browser reads your clipboard only at that moment, and only to place the text into the link box. Nothing is sent to us until you press the convert button.
- Looking up the audio. Our server sends the TikTok link to a third-party audio lookup service (see Section 5), which returns the sound's title, author name, cover image link, duration and the location of the audio file.
- Short-term caching. To make repeat requests faster and reduce load, the lookup result for a link is stored temporarily on our server for about 30 minutes.
- Download link. We create a random, temporary download link that expires after about 30 minutes. The original audio address is not shown in your browser.
- Delivering the file. When you preview or download, our server fetches the audio file, passes it to your browser and then deletes its temporary copy right away. We do not build a library of downloaded files.
- MP3 conversion in your browser. If the original sound is not already an MP3, the conversion to MP3 happens inside your own browser on your device. The converted file is not uploaded back to us.
4.Why we use this information
We use the information described above only to:
- provide the converter and deliver the audio you request;
- prevent abuse, spam and automated misuse, including through rate limits;
- keep the Website secure, fix errors and improve performance;
- reply to messages you send us, including copyright or DMCA notices;
- comply with legal obligations.
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on our legitimate interests in running a secure and working service, on the performance of the service you request, and on your consent where consent is required (for example, for non-essential cookies).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5.Third-party services
To run the Service we rely on a small number of outside providers. They receive only what they need to do their job:

These providers have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We may change providers over time; if we do, this section will be updated.
6.Analytics and advertising
We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Website, such as which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. This information is collected in aggregated form and helps us improve the Website.
We may also show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and learn more about how Google uses data at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
8.How long we keep data
- Audio files: deleted from our server immediately after they are delivered to your browser.
- Link lookup results and download links: kept for about 30 minutes, then removed automatically.
- Rate-limit records (hashed IP and request count): about 1 hour.
- Server logs: kept for the period set by our hosting provider, usually a few days to a few weeks.
- Emails you send us: kept for as long as needed to handle your request, and then deleted.
9.Security
The Website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We limit what we store, delete temporary files promptly, use random expiring download links and apply rate limits to reduce abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the limited information we handle.
10.Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- ask us to correct or delete your personal information;
- object to or ask us to restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
Because we do not use accounts and keep very little data, often for less than an hour, we may not hold any information that can be linked to you. To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 13. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
11.Children's privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we change how the converter works or which providers we use. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Please check this page from time to time.
